Step It Up this Recycle Week

20-26 September 2021 is 18th Annual Recycle Week

We’re proud to do our bit to help support Recycle Week with our ongoing Return & Save initiative to avoid franking ink cartridges going to landfill!!

The theme this year is to ‘Step It Up’ and is supported by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) with an aim to educate people on how to recycle more. So please make sure you recycle your plastics at home and in the workplace, to reduce the amount going to landfill and join the fight against climate change.

As CCS (Crown Commercial Service) named supplier to DEFRA for Postal Goods & Service on RM1063 Lot5 we’re continually looking at ways to reduce our environmental footprint and with the Freepost return scheme for your used ink cartridges, hopefully we make it easier for us all to work together.

And if you’re wondering about the random picture of a washing machine pyramid… a big well done to Currys PC World who set a new Guinness World Record for the largest pyramid of washing machines to demonstrate it’s commitment to ‘New Life Not Landfill’.

In the car park next to our head office they stacked 1,490 pre-loved washing machines from their own recycling scheme, whilst we watched on and wondered if a new art installation was arriving in Bury. Certainly make you think about the amount of rubbish going to landfill, so please remember to send us your old franking ink cartridges.
