18 March 2013

On Friday 15th March 2013, The Mailing Room celebrated Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day by holding an official ‘Wear a wig to work’ day. It was a huge success with The Mailing Room team collecting over £210. The money raised by The Mailing Room will go towards the Comic Relief grand total of £70 million total raised on Red Nose day; helping foundations in both the UK and Africa.
Comic Relief strives to create a just world free from poverty. Their mission is to drive positive change through the power of entertainment. Since 1985, Comic Relief has raised millions of pounds through two big fundraising campaigns – Red Nose Day and Sport Relief.

To help raise money for this amazing cause, The Mailing Room team based in Bury, Manchester wore wigs, completed a marshmallow eating challenge, held a tuck shop, sold cakes and had a wig themed sweepstake.

Andrew Parmenter, Marketing Manager said “Red Nose Day was another fund raising success. It was such a great day, the team really enjoyed themselves and we are pleased to have raised £210 for this fantastic charity. Thank you to everyone who got involved with the day and donated so generously.”
