Teleset instructions for transferring postal credit into your machine or postage meter relating to the use of the Teleset system.
The Teleset system is a means of transferring postal credit into your franking machine or postage meter. It utilizes a unique PIN number which will only respond to your specific franking machine. This PIN number is issued to you at the point of franking machine installation and we recommend it be kept in a safe place. The system is operated by Francotyp-Postalia Ltd who are responsible to Royal Mail for collecting the funds for the issued postal credit. Funds are held in a trust account and transfers can only take place if your account is in credit.
Payment may be made into your Teleset account by the following methods:-
1. Direct Debit - You choose the initial credit limit which is to be held on your account and should be sufficient for one month's postage.
2. Credit Card Transfer - Credit card lines are open 9.00am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
3. BACS Transfer - These transfers take 5 working days from the day payment leaves your bank. It is essential that the transfer documentation clearly identifies the payer. Customer name and PIN number is positive identification.
4. Cheque - Cheque payments take 5 working days from the day of posting before credit can be loaded. It is essential you provide your account number to ensure no delay in crediting your account occurs.
5. Postal Credit - Postal credit cannot be issued in excess of cleared funds held in your Teleset account. Consequently we recommend that some value be permanently left in the account to cope with emergencies resulting from unexpected postal throughput or oversight. For further details on any of the above please telephone 0870 145 4455 and choose Option 3.
Statements are issued upon request.
