At The Mailing Room, we comply with established international standards which we have incorporated within our integrated management systems (IMS) based on the requirements of ISO9001, incorporating the requirements of ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 27001.
ISO 9001:2008 demonstrates our ability to consistently provide products and services that meet our customers’ requirements and aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity and applicable regulatory requirements. ISO9001 helps us to succeed through improved customer satisfaction and staff motivation.
ISO 14001 relates to environmental management and maps out a framework that we can follow to set up an effective Environmental Management System. The system is used to improve resource efficiency and reduce waste (and also keep resource costs to a minimum). ISO 14001 provides assurance to both our internal staff and external companies that environmental impacts are being measured and considered. The main aim of ISO 14001 is to assist with both continually improving our environmental performance whilst also complying with applicable government legislation and legal requirements.
OHSAS 18001 provides us with standards to follow for an effective Occupational Health and Safety Management System which can be integrated with a DQMS to help achieve better occupational health and safety performance. OHSAS 18001 specifies requirements for a health and safety system to help us develop and implement both policies and objectives which take into account legal requirements, cultural conditions and social conditions.
The standard assists with our planning and policy formation whilst it ensures our compliance with the latest health and safety requirements and legislation and simultaneously helps us to control hazards and risks to our staff, while boosting our performance. We are able to provide an improved working environment for our personnel and provide improved conditions of employment through putting correct safety measures in place.
ISO/IEC 27001 demonstrates a management system that is intended to bring our information security under particular control. The standard covers all areas of data protection but specifically looks at aspects of IT security. ISO/IEC 27001 requires our management system to examine our information security risk, taking into account vulnerabilities and impacts and allows us to implement suitable controls to meet our information security needs on an ongoing basis. The standard provides specific recommendations to establish an Information Security Management system.
